The Retirement Reality Show: Episode Four

“In the Long Run”

The fourth episode in the company’s groundbreaking “Retirement Reality Show” series, “In the Long Run,” takes place over the course of the New York City Marathon. More than 45,000 participants look to go the distance in front of 2 million live spectators and 315 million worldwide television viewers. We thought the timing was right to see how Americans feel about the marathon we’re all in – planning for retirement.

Matt Klein of AXA Equitable’s External Affairs team, running in (and completing) the marathon for the fifth consecutive year, carried a flip camera with him this year to ask runners at the Staten Island staging area about their strategies for reaching the retirement finish line.

For many individuals, the potential for a “retirement” that spans 30 years is a reality. Are you prepared for that?
